The Mat chair, upholstered in seagrass, black and steel. Normann Copenhagen This is a shell chair for dining tables, dining areas, or workspaces. Its shell is made of hemp fibers and seagrass, a type of algae, and openly displays the natural structure.

design & material

The Danish design studio Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen developed Mat over several years. The shell is created using a compression process and sits on legs made of lacquered steel. Hemp and seagrass are considered highly renewable and durable; you can see and feel their surface. According to the manufacturer, the chair is designed for disassembly and recycling, and the components can be reused in new productions.

The seat height of 45 cm helps you with planning: check it against the height of your table. At 4.6 kg, you'll find the chair difficult to move.eloYou can place it at the table or rearrange it for guests. At 51.6 cm wide and 53 cm deep, it remains compact.

Mat Kollektion: Skandinavisches Design für dein Zuhause

Mat ist die Sitzmöbelserie von Normann Copenhagen mit einer Schale aus Naturfasern wie Seegras oder Hanffasern. Die Serie steht laut Hersteller für Innovation und Kreislaufwirtschaft.

Drei Sitzformen: Die Serie umfasst den Mat Stuhl, den Mat Lehnstuhl mit Armlehnen und den Mat Barstuhl mit Armlehne in der 75-cm-Ausführung.
Naturfaser-Schale: Die Sitzschale gibt es in Seegras oder Hanffasern, und ihre Struktur bleibt je nach Polsterung ganz oder teilweise sichtbar.
Vier Polstervarianten: Du wählst zwischen ungepolstert, mit Polster, Frontpolster oder Vollpolster, zum Beispiel mit Bezügen wie Hallingdal 110, Remix 133 oder Ultra 41599.
Gestell nach Wahl: Das Untergestell ist in schwarzem Stahl, cremefarbenem Stahl oder Buchenholz erhältlich.
Einheitliche Essgruppe: Stühle und Lehnstühle im gleichen Gestell lassen sich am Esstisch kombinieren, zum Beispiel mit Armlehnen an den Kopfenden.
