An oval dining table combines the length of a rectangular table with the soft edges of a round one. Without corners, it appears lighter in the room, you can easily walk around it, and there's often room for an extra chair at the ends. Materials and surfaces

Wood dominates the selection: oak, walnut, and ash veneer, solid acacia wood, and lacquered MDF. With oak, you can choose between oiled, lacquered, and brushed finishes. Walnut is available oiled or lacquered. The color tones range from natural and smoked oak to black walnut, as well as light and dark finishes. The frames are made of solid wood or steel.

Choosing the right size

• Medium lengths of 180 to 220 cm for everyday family life
• Large tables up to 280 cm for open living spaces and many guests

The widths range from approximately 90 to 115 cm, and the height is usually 74 cm. Plan for sufficient space around the table so that the chairs can be easily pushed back.

Consider how many people sit at the table daily and how often you have guests. If you have frequent visitors, an extendable table is worthwhile.
