Scala Collection – Dining, café and coffee tables by Normann Copenhagen

Scala: A tribute to the column

With the Scala series, Danish designer Simon Legald has created Normann Copenhagen a table family designed that is based on the classic columnarcArchitecture-oriented. The column has been considered a load-bearing element of buildings for centuries – in Scala, it takes on this role for the tabletop. Four solid columns form the characteristic frame, which has a different appearance depending on the viewing angle: From the front, it appears compact; viewed at an angle, the spaces between them open up, and the table appears lighter.

Dining tables for everyday use and for guests

The centerpiece of the series is the dining table with a height of 75 cm. The round tabletops are available in diameters of 110, 130, and 150 cm, allowing you to plan for anything from a small dining area to a larger gathering for six or more people. If you are interested in a version with a marble top, it's also worth taking a look at our Marble dining tables.

Café tables for small spaces

The Scala café tables, at dining height, are ideal for kitchens, balconies, or work areas. They are available in round shapes with a diameter of 60 or 70 cm, as well as squares measuring 70 x 70 cm. This gives you the same column look in a smaller space – perfect for two people or as a bistro table.

Coffee tables with the same design language

In the living room, the Scala coffee tables, 40 cm high and 110 or 130 cm in diameter, continue the design. The generous tabletops offer ample space for books, bowls, or drinks. You can find other models from the brand at [website/store name]. Normann Copenhagen Coffee and side tables.
