Basic - Half shelf by MDD – flexible freestanding shelf for office and ArcHIV

The Basic half-shelf combines two storage options in one piece of furniture: a lockable cabinet section and open shelves. This allows for the clear organization of folders, documents, and materials, which can then be secured with a patented lock. The front is finished in dark walnut, while the top panel, base, and body are black – a calm, understated elegance.eutraA color combination that can be integrated into existing furnishings.

Construction and materials

The top panel is made of 28 mm melamine board with a 2 mm ABS edge banding, while the body is constructed from 18 mm melamine board, also with a 2 mm ABS edge. The back panel is a 3 mm HDF board. The 18 mm melamine front panel features a 110° hinge and a patented lock; the standard handles are made of aluminum. The shelves are also made of 18 mm melamine board, are secured against accidental removal, and have a maximum load capacity of 70 kg/m². Height differences are compensated for by the 27 mm high feet with an internal adjustment of 5 mm. The shelving unit is manufactured from robust MFC in Poland, within the European Union, in compliance with the standard PN-EN 14073-2:2006.

Configuration and application area

The Basic half-shelf unit is available in two widths – 400 and 800 mm – and in various shelf and cabinet configurations. A felt basket is available as an option. Designed for offices, educational institutions, and Archive is suitable wherever open storage and lockable storage need to be combined.
