MARBLE & TERRAZZO Marble and terrazzo are living materials and can therefore vary in color, texture, and marbling. Calcite and sand pits are two natural features that indicate the marble is authentic. Calcite looks like crushed crystals and appears when limestone solidifies from water inside the stone. Sand pits are air pockets created during the formation of the stone and look like small depressions or bubbles on the surface. Like grains and streaks, sand pits and calcite are what make marble unique. No two stones look alike. Marble is a delicate and porous material that is sensitive to liquids, moisture, and dirt. Therefore, you must pay special attention to how you use and care for the stone. We recommend treating the marble with "Protect Marble & Stone" by Leather Master. Another alternative is to apply a thin layer of paraffin/white oil to the tabletop. Allow the oil to soak in for a while, then wipe and polish. For daily care, clean with a damp, soft cloth and ordinary soapy water. Spills must be wiped up immediately. Wiping with just a tea towel and tap water may leave small water spots when they dry. Acidic limescale solvents will corrode marble, as it is made of limestone. Wine and lemon are also acidic liquids that will corrode marble. PU: All fabrics fade in the sun, so make sure you don't expose the furniture to direct sunlight. For daily care, use a damp, soft cloth, preferably microfiber. For stubborn stains, we recommend Leather Master's imitation leather care product. Follow the instructions on the bottle.
