Hyg Chair Steel White by Normann Copenhagen – Design meets comfort

The Hyg chair in white steel by Normann Copenhagen is a mEISTERpiece of Danish design, created by Simon Legald. Inspired by the Danish philosophy of hygge, this chair combines comfort, aesthetics, and functionality in a unique piece of furniture. Its soft lines and enveloping contours create an intimate and cozy atmosphere, perfect for dining and lounge areas.

A design inspired by hygge

Simon Legald drew inspiration from the Danish concept of hygge when designing the Hyg series. Hygge stands for coziness, warmth, and a feeling of security. These qualities are reflected in every detail of the Hyg chair. The organic curves and ergonomic shape ensure exceptional comfort and invite you to linger.

The development of the Hyg series

The Hyg series was first introduced in 2018 and initially comprised a two-seater sofa, an armchair, and a footstool. In 2020, the series was expanded to include a chair and a bar stool, all of which retain the characteristic features of the lounge series. The Hyg chair is a perfect example of the successful combination of design and functionality.

Materials and workmanship

The Hyg chair consists of a molded polypropylene shell attached to a steel frame with four screws and cups. This construction ensures stability and durability. The chair arrives fully assembled and ready to use.

Perfect for dining and lounge areas

The Hyg chair is not just a piece of furniture, but an experience. It provides the perfect setting for social gatherings, deep conversations, and shared meals. The combination of comfort and design makes it an ideal choice for dining and lounge areas.
