The Hyg series was first introduced in 2018 and initially included a two-seater sofa, an armchair, and a footstool. In 2020, the series was expanded to include the Hyg chair and a bar stool, both of which retain the characteristic features of the lounge series.

Simon Legald explains: “People sitting together, having deep conversations, and sharing a meal – for me, that’s the epitome of hygge. It was therefore natural that the Hyg series should also provide a framework for this kind of experience. The feeling of hygge isn’t just linked to the visual experience of the design – it encompasses the entire sensory spectrum. A great deal of work went into designing the chair to offer the body rest and support – so that it’s simply comfortable to sit in.”
