Möbel mit einem Bezug aus Strukturstoff sollten einmal pro Woche oder alle zwei Wochen gereinigt werden. Bürsten Sie den Stoff sanft mit einer weichen Bürste oder verwenden Sie einen Staubsauger mit niedriger Saugstufe und einer speziellen Polsterdüse. So können Sie Staub und Schmutz entfernen, ohne dass sie tiefer eindringen.
1-2 Mal pro Jahr sollte der Bezug aus Strukturstoff gründlich aufgefrischt werden. Wischen Sie den gesamten Stoff mit einer feuchten Lösung eines neutralen Reinigungsmittels ab, zum Beispiel Spülmittel gemischt mit Wasser. Wischen Sie danach nochmals mit einem sauberen, feuchten Schwamm oder Tuch nach, um Reinigungsmittelreste zu entfernen. Lassen Sie den Stoff anschliessend auf natürliche Weise an der Luft trocknen.
Sie können auch spezielle Polsterreinigungsprodukte für Stoffe verwenden. Befolgen Sie dabei die Anweisungen des Herstellers.
Bei Flecken oder verschütteten Flüssigkeiten tupfen Sie die Flüssigkeit vorsichtig mit einem trockenen Tuch oder Papiertuch ab. Um Verschmutzungen durch Schlamm, Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Joghurt oder Lippenstift zu entfernen, sammeln Sie die Reste der Substanz vorsichtig auf.
Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung des Sofas milde und neutrale Reinigungsmittel wie Spülmittel oder milde Seife, gemischt mit lauwarmem Wasser im Verhältnis: ein Teelöffel Reinigungsmittel auf zwei Tassen Wasser. Starke Reinigungsmittel und Bleichmittel können den Bezug beschädigen.
Vermeiden Sie es, Flecken, besonders organische, mit heissem Wasser zu entfernen, da diese sich dadurch festsetzen können.
Reinigen Sie die verschmutzte Fläche langsam in kreisenden Bewegungen, von den äusseren Rändern des Flecks zur Mitte hin. So verhindern Sie, dass sich der Fleck weiter ausbreitet.
Vermeiden Sie kräftiges und forsches Reiben, um die Struktur des Stoffs nicht zu beschädigen.
Wiederholen Sie den Reinigungsvorgang bei Bedarf und vergrössern Sie dabei die gereinigte Fläche rund um den Fleck, um Wasserflecken zu vermeiden.
Führen Sie vor Beginn der Reinigung einen Test des Reinigungsmittels an einer unauffälligen Stelle des Möbelstücks durch, um eine Beschädigung des Stoffs zu vermeiden.
Lassen Sie den Stoff nach der Fleckenentfernung bei Raumtemperatur an der Luft trocknen.
Verwenden Sie keinen Föhn oder andere direkte Wärmequellen. Setzen Sie sich während dieser Zeit nicht auf das Sofa, da sich der Bezug verformen könnte.
