STEEL Remember that steel is a material that can rust if exposed to water and moisture for extended periods. It is important to keep steel furniture dry, for example, by using a furniture cover. Rust from inside or on the furniture can drip and discolor the surface it sits on. Keep this in mind if you place it on your new wooden deck. Paint or another coating is what keeps rust at bay, so it is important not to damage the coating. Solvents should not be used on painted or varnished steel, as this will dissolve the surface and expose it to rust. For daily care, clean with a soft cloth and soapy water. Always wipe the surface dry afterward, avoiding excess water. If a rust stain is difficult to remove, you can use a soft cloth and pure alcohol. To maintain the quality and appearance of your steel furniture, we recommend storing it in a dry place during the winter. ACACIA To ensure you can enjoy your furniture for as long as possible, please follow these care instructions. This furniture was treated with oil before leaving the factory. The oil penetration is deeper in some places than in others. Before using your new furniture, use a dry cloth to remove excess oil and Staub Do not oil your new furniture immediately. To ensure that the furniture retains its color, we recommend oiling it at the end of the first garden season. Clean the furniture, sand it with very fine sandpaper (240) if necessary, and then use a cloth to apply a thin layer of oil. It is very important that no dirt or Staub trapped under the oil, as this can cause mold. Use a dry cloth to remove any excess oil from the wood. This process should be repeated every year, just before the furniture is placed in the garden in summer. The furniture should not be stored in a damp location, as this can cause mold. We recommend using a suitable cover to prevent damage from severe weather conditions. For winter storage, the furniture should not be stored in a centrally heated area, as this can cause the wood to dry out, leading to shrinkage and cracking. A cool, well-ventilated garden shed is a suitable storage location. Never cover the furniture with protective film, as this can cause mold. After extended use and/or the wood has dried out, it may be necessary to retighten the screws (with moderate force).
