TEAK Teak garden furniture requires maintenance to extend its lifespan. Teak naturally contains oil, but will slowly turn gray if left untreated, preferably with teak oil. If you want to maintain this natural teak look, you should use oil and also follow the maintenance instructions to keep your product in good condition for many years to come. Before treating your teak with oil: - Use fine sandpaper to smooth the surface (buff in the direction of the wood grain). The easiest way to clean the furniture is to use a sponge or soft brush, along with soap and excess water.
