Steinel IS 140-2 black motion detector

The Steinel IS 140-2 black motion detector is an infrared motion detector for indoor and outdoor use. It switches on the light as soon as someone approaches, for example at the front door, on the patio, or in the driveway. This leaves your hands free when you're out with shopping or garden furniture.

recording & alignment

The sensor covers a 140° angle and a range of up to 14 meters. It swivels 180° horizontally and 90° vertically. The included cover plates further define the detection zone, preventing, for example, the sidewalk from constantly triggering the light. Creep zone protection and segmented masking help to precisely control the detection area. A mounting height of 2 meters is recommended, with a maximum of 3 meters possible. The sensor can be mounted on the wall or in a corner.

Settings & Connection

The potentiometer controls allow you to continuously adjust the illumination duration from 8 seconds to 35 minutes. The activation brightness can be set between 2 and 2000 lux, meaning the light will only switch on at dusk if you configure it that way. The sensor can handle loads up to 1000 W, and it's also possible to connect up to 6 LEDs. It operates on 230–240 V/50 Hz.
