The Steinel IS 180-2 silver motion detector is a lighting accessory that switches on the light precisely when you need it: at the front door, in the driveway, or on the patio. It detects movement within a 180° angle and has a range of up to 12 meters. It can be used both indoors and outdoors.

design & material

The housing is made of UV-resistant plastic with a stainless steel look (RAL 9006). It has a flat design and is barely noticeable on the house wall; the silver tone matches metal frames, mailboxes, or door handles. Its IP54 protection rating makes it weatherproof.

function & Attitude

With the multi-lens, you can set the range to 5 m or 12 m: 5 m for the front door, 12 m for a longer driveway. The 504 switching zones can be individually masked so that, for example, a sidewalk outside your property doesn't trigger the light; creep zone protection is included. You can continuously adjust the illumination duration from 5 seconds to 15 minutes, and the twilight level via a potentiometer from 2 to 2000 lux – so it only illuminates in darkness.

Assembly & Connection

Wall or corner mounting is possible; a corner wall bracket is available as an option, and mounting hardware is included. An optimal mounting height is 2 m, with a maximum of 4 m. The detector switches up to 1000 W and is suitable for up to 6 LED lights; halogen and fluorescent lamps also work. Multiple detectors can be networked in master/master mode via cable.
