The Steinel IS 180 digi anthracite motion detector makes existing and new lighting systems smart: The light switches on as soon as someone approaches. The sensor is concealed in the flat housing and remains inconspicuous on the facade.

design & recording

The housing, in anthracite RAL 7039, measures 42 x 116 x 116 mm and sits flush against walls and facades. Its 180° detection angle reaches up to 8 m – enough for house entrances, driveways, or garden paths. You can divide the area into three zones: each can be digitally activated or deactivated, and its range adjusted so that, for example, the adjacent sidewalk doesn't trigger the light.

comfort & function

Control the sensor via Bluetooth Mesh using your smartphone or tablet and connect it to Steinel Connect lights and smart home applications. The timer offers daily and weekly schedules, a night-saving mode, and a teach-in function. You can adjust the twilight threshold (2 to 1000 lx) and switching time (5 seconds to 60 minutes) to suit the location. With a switching load of up to 1000 W, it can operate LED, halogen, and fluorescent lamps.

Mission & Assembly

Thanks to its IP54 protection rating, you can mount it on the wall indoors or outdoors, at a height of 1.8 to 2.5 m (optimal: 2 m). It also features creep zone protection and segmented light blocking. Mounting hardware is included.
