The Steinel IS 240 Duo black motion detector switches on the light as soon as someone approaches the front door, driveway, or patio. Two sensors cover a 240° field of view with a range of up to 12 meters, allowing you to monitor areas in front of two house walls.

recording & Attitude

The sensor can be swivelled horizontally by 160°. The included cover plates allow you to precisely adjust the detection area. You can selectively mask out the 276 switching zones, for example, to prevent every car on the road from triggering the lights. Creepage protection is already integrated. A potentiometer allows you to select the illumination duration from 10 seconds to 15 minutes and the twilight level from 2 to 2000 lux. This way, the light only comes on when you need it.

Assembly & material

You mount the detector on the wall or in a corner; the corner wall bracket and mounting accessories are included. The optimal mounting height is 2 m, with a maximum of 4 m possible. The housing, made of UV-resistant plastic, has a flat profile and remains inconspicuous in black against dark facades or door frames. IP54 protection and protection class II allow for indoor and outdoor use.

Connection & combination

The detector switches up to 1000 W and works with LED, halogen, and fluorescent lamps. You can connect up to 6 LEDs.
